Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Oloro, Ageless Ascetic deck is a life-gain/drain control build that leverages the commander's passive upkeep life gain and card draw to fuel a suite of synergistic payoffs. The primary game plan is to assemble an infinite life-drain loop using Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond (or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose with any life gain) to drain the table. A compact backup win condition is Thassa's Oracle + Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact for a near-zero-mana kill. The deck also includes alternate win conditions in Felidar Sovereign and Test of Endurance. It plays a controlling game with counterspells, targeted removal, and board wipes while accumulating life and card advantage via Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and Smothering Tithe.
