Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov aggro-control and political beatdown strategy commanded by Breena, the Demagogue. The primary game plan revolves around playing low-cost evasive creatures on the first two turns, resolving Breena on Turn 3, and immediately generating card advantage and +1/+1 counters by attacking opponents with disparate life totals. As Breena and evasive threats rapidly grow into lethal flying beaters, the deck leverages political incentives and defensive deterrents like Ghostly Prison, Nils, Discipline Enforcer, and Combat Calligrapher to steer opponent aggression away from itself. Opponents are pressured to battle one another for card draw while this deck stockpiles free and low-cost protection spells such as Flawless Maneuver, Flare of Fortitude, and Surge of Salvation. The game is closed out around Turn 7 or 8 through overwhelming aerial commander damage, double strike from Duelist's Heritage, or an unblockable, lethal alpha strike delivered by Akroma's Will.
