Deck overview

This Simic Elf deck blends elf-ball ramp with a heavy scry subtheme, using the commander Legolas, Counter of Kills as a reach blocker and, once scry triggers untap him, a scaling threat. The real engine is Elrond, Master of Healing, a hidden commander that converts every scry into +1/+1 counters, further multiplied by Hardened Scales and Branching Evolution. Elven Chorus, Marwyn, and Circle of Dreams Druid produce huge mana, while Song of Earendil grants evasion. Most games end through a wide, evasive combat swing; Simic Ascendancy offers a clean alternate win. The deck is not fragile to losing Legolas because the Elf/scry shell functions without him, but it still needs time to assemble.
