Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats combo deck is commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, leveraging death triggers and sacrifice synergies to drain opponents while converting creature attrition into card advantage. The primary win condition is an infinite life-drain loop utilizing Warren Soultrader, Forsaken Miner, and Sephiroth. By sacrificing Forsaken Miner to create a Treasure, Sephiroth drains an opponent for 1 life, which commits a crime and triggers Miner's graveyard return ability to repeat the process infinitely. The deck is supported by premier fast mana and dense low-cost tutors to assemble its win conditions rapidly on Turn 4. Robust secondary lines include the classic Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond pairing and Bolas's Citadel value chains. Opponents are kept off balance through asymmetric attrition engines including Opposition Agent, Grave Pact, and Mornsong Aria.
