Format: Commander

Commander: Chief of the Wilds

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Wolf tribal deck helmed by Chief of the Wilds, built to flood the battlefield with Wolf tokens and leverage the commander's trigger-doubling ability for explosive growth. The primary game plan is to deploy a critical mass of Wolves, use token generators like Master of the Wild Hunt and Hollowhenge Overlord to build an overwhelming board, then finish with pump spells such as Overwhelming Stampede or Return of the Wildspeaker. The deck also packs a solid removal suite and a handful of protection pieces to keep its board intact. While it lacks infinite combos, its combat inevitability is high thanks to redundant token engines and anthem effects. The commander accelerates the clock but is not essential; the deck can execute its plan without it.
