Deck overview

This deck executes a classic mono-blue flying tempo strategy centered on The Lord of the Eagles. In the opening turns, it deploys efficient flying creatures like Mischievous Mystic and Warden of Evos Isle to establish board presence and accumulate airborne power. This power discounts the commander's hefty mana cost, allowing The Lord of the Eagles to flash onto the battlefield as an 8/8 threat on an opponent's end step as early as Turn 5. Once the commander lands, the deck transitions into a lethal aerial clock amplified by cards like Gravitational Shift and Cynette, Jelly Drover. Reliable blue interaction such as Counterspell and Archmage's Charm protects the board and halts opposing combo attempts, while combat draw engines like Coastal Piracy keep resources flowing. While highly resilient against ground-based defenses, the deck must manage vulnerability to mass creature removal.
