Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Breena, the Demagogue to orchestrate a political aggro-control strategy centered around +1/+1 counters and combat redirection. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost ramp such as Sol Ring and Talisman of Hierarchy alongside political tools like Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff and Land Tax to establish Breena, the Demagogue on turn 3. Once active, Breena generates steady card advantage and counter growth by rewarding players for attacking higher-life opponents. The mid-game constructs a layered defensive pillowfort utilizing Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, Koskun Falls, and Nils, Discipline Enforcer, which deters incoming attacks and funnels opposing aggression toward each other. The deck converts this defensive buffer into victory around turns 6 to 8 by leveraging massive evasive commander damage and alpha strikes amplified by Duelist's Heritage, Noble Heritage, Damning Verdict, or Akroma's Will. Robust protection spells like Dawn's Truce and Flare of Fortitude safeguard the board through to completion.
