Deck overview

This is a Grixis Rat-tribal swarm deck helmed by Wick, the Whorled Mind. The core loop is simple and powerful: every Rat that enters while Wick is on the battlefield either creates the single 1/1 Snail token or slaps another +1/+1 counter on it, and then that Snail is sacrificed to hurl damage equal to its power at each opponent and draw that many cards. The 99 is engineered around redundant Rat production - Marrow-Gnawer, Piper of the Swarm, Lord Skitter, Sewer King, Chittering Witch, Song of Totentanz, Revenge of the Rats, Totentanz, Swarm Piper, and Ogre Slumlord - so the Snail becomes a one-shot fireball that also refuels the hand. Secondary channels are evasive swarm beatdown (menace, fear, deathtouch), Valley Rotcaller's attack drain, poison from Karumonix, the Rat King, and a big Crypt Rats activation. Wick is the entire payoff package, so the deck plays as commander-dependent midrange that goldfishes a lethal Snail turn around turns 8-9.
