I'll Form the Head

Format: Commander

Commander: Bruenor Battlehammer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Boros Equipment-Voltron deck built around Bruenor Battlehammer's two combat-relevant abilities: every equipped creature gets +2/+0 per Equipment, and the first equip activation each turn is free. The plan is to suit up Bruenor with a critical mass of Equipment, push his commander damage past 21 with double-strike enablers like Reyav, Master Smith, Halvar, God of Battle, Fireshrieker, and Bayek of Siwa, then use extra-combat cards Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Godo, Bandit Warlord to kill multiple opponents in the same turn. The deck also contains the compact infinite-combat line of Godo, Bandit Warlord + Helm of the Host. Support comes from Equipment-tutor creatures and spells, dwarf/treasure synergies with Magda, Brazen Outlaw, and a large pool of high-end Equipment including the Kaldra pieces. It can build a must-answer threat quickly, but the entire engine is heavily artifact-concentrated and unusually thin on card draw.
