Deck overview

Ozai, the Phoenix King leads a Rakdos Big Mana and combat-centric deck designed to generate and store massive quantities of red mana. By preventing unspent mana from emptying, Ozai transforms temporary combat mana from firebending triggers, rituals, and upkeep engines into a permanent mana reserve. Once six or more mana is banked, Ozai becomes a flying, indestructible 7/7 trampler that clocks opponents with rapid commander damage while unlocking high-cost bombs like Blightsteel Colossus, Shredder, Shadow Master, and Crackle with Power. The deck also features extra combat loops via Aggravated Assault and Hellkite Charger to close games decisively. While the strategy boasts formidable offensive momentum and resilience against damage-based removal, its lack of tutors and enchantment removal makes it reliant on natural topdecks and vulnerable to mass exile effects.
