Brew - Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder by nickypbuckets

Format: Commander

Commander: Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a four-color cascade value deck helmed by Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder. The core plan is to land Yidris, make him connect in combat, and then dump spells from hand so they all gain cascade for a cascading chain of free permanents and threats. The 99 is packed with built-in cascade creatures (Bloodbraid Elf, Shardless Agent, Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty, Maelstrom Wanderer, Apex Devastator), exile-cast payoffs (Prosper, Tome-Bound, Nalfeshnee, Passionate Archaeologist, Keeper of Secrets, Faldorn, Dread Wolf Herald), and classic ramp to hit Yidris's four-color cost on curve. Primary wins come from overwhelming combat-often capped by Triumph of the Hordes infect or Etali, Primal Conqueror's flipped poison side-supported by burn from exile-cast triggers. There are no infinite combo lines; the deck wins through cascading board presence and efficient finishers.
