Deck overview

Lord of the Nazgûl leads a Dimir spellslinger and tribal aggro deck that converts low-cost instants and sorceries into an army of 3/3 menace Wraith tokens. The list capitalizes on the Lord of the Rings deckbuilding rule exception by running nine copies of Nazgûl, allowing it to consistently trigger the Ring tempting mechanic and place +1/+1 counters across all Wraiths. Acceleration from mana rocks allows Lord of the Nazgûl to hit the battlefield on Turn 4 or 5. Once operational, cheap cantrips churn through the library while establishing an evasive board presence. If nine Wraiths are assembled, the commander turns them into lethal 9/9 attackers. The deck backs up its combat plan with interactive countermagic, targeted removal, and graveyard recursion spells like Echoing Return that can retrieve every fallen Nazgûl at once. While vulnerable to board sweepers and commander removal, it delivers consistent tribal synergy and resilient mid-game combat pressure.
