Rising Tides by Nohands404

Format: Commander

Commander: Emperor Mihail II

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue Merfolk tribal aggro-control strategy helmed by Emperor Mihail II. The commander provides top-deck library access and the ability to cast Merfolk spells from the top of your library, while generating a 1/1 Merfolk token on each Merfolk cast (for {1}). The primary game plan is to assemble a critical mass of Merfolk lords (Lord of Atlantis, Master of the Pearl Trident, Merrow Reejerey, Merfolk Sovereign, Coralhelm Commander) and evasive threats (Mist-Cloaked Herald, Herald of Secret Streams), then attack with islandwalk and unblockable effects to overwhelm opponents. Secondary win conditions include value engines like Kindred Discovery and Bident of Thassa to draw into more gas, and bounce spells (Evacuation, Whelming Wave, Aetherize) to reset the board while keeping your own Merfolk intact. The deck lacks infinite combos, relying on steady combat damage and incremental card advantage.
