Deck overview

This is a Ghave, Guru of Spores aristocrats/combo deck built around turning +1/+1 counters into Saprolings, Saprolings into counters, and both into life-drain triggers. The primary path to victory is the classic engine: resolve Ashnod's Altar alongside Ghave and any Blood Artist-style payoff, then loop counter-removal and sacrifice activations to generate unbounded Saproling death triggers and drain the table. Secondary plans lean on counter doublers like Corpsejack Menace and Branching Evolution to build an overwhelming board, with Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher and Meathook Massacre II providing recursion and Massacre Wurm punishing opposing creature bases. The deck is a telegraphed, mostly sorcery-speed combo-midrange hybrid: it can grind value through Saproling production, or simply win on the spot once the Altar, Ghave, and a drain effect are assembled.
