Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Mono-Black Aristocrats and Combo deck commanded by Ayara, First of Locthwain. The primary game plan seeks to assemble an infinite life-drain loop using Ayara, Warren Soultrader, and Gravecrawler. Because Warren Soultrader is a Zombie, you can sacrifice Gravecrawler to create a Treasure at the cost of 1 life, spend that Treasure to recast Gravecrawler from the graveyard, and trigger Ayara to drain each opponent for 1 life while regaining the spent life. The deck uses graveyard tutors like Buried Alive, Unmarked Grave, and Lively Dirge along with reanimation spells like Victimize to assemble this win as early as Turn 4. To slow down opposing strategies, the deck runs potent stax and attrition pieces such as Contamination, Grave Pact, and Braids, Cabal Minion. It also features robust card advantage from Necropotence, Morbid Opportunist, and Ayara's activated ability, alongside targeted removal to eliminate opposing threats.
