Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Surveil Reanimator strategy commanded by Mirko, Obsessive Theorist. The game plan revolves around using efficient surveil cards to sculpt draws, fill the graveyard, and grow Mirko with +1/+1 counters. Once Mirko reaches sufficient power, his end-step trigger reanimates high-leverage creatures directly to the battlefield. The deck focuses on combat damage multipliers that halve player life totals, such as Virtus the Veiled, Unstoppable Slasher, and Shredder, Shadow Master, alongside devastating threats like Summon: Primal Odin and Sheoldred, Whispering One. Evasion enablers like Brotherhood Regalia, The Black Gate, and Gossip's Talent ensure these attackers bypass blockers. The deck backs up its proactive board state with versatile black and blue removal, countermagic, and card advantage engines such as Matoya, Archon Elder and Disinformation Campaign.
