Commander: Don Andres, the Renegade

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis theft-and-treasure engine helmed by Don Andres, the Renegade, leveraging pirates, steal effects, and casting spells you don't own to generate overwhelming value. The primary game plan is to deploy early pirates like Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer and Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator to create Treasures and exile opponents' cards, which you then cast at a discount. Don Andres turns every noncreature spell you don't own into two Treasures and buffs stolen creatures with menace and deathtouch. The deck wins through combat damage, often via extra-combat phases (Port Razer, Great Train Heist), or a massive Insurrection to steal the entire board. Secondary win conditions include Bolas's Citadel life loss and large Breach the Multiverse reanimation.
