Deck overview

This deck is an optimized mono-green combo deck commanded by Ashaya, Soul of the Wild. The primary strategy accelerates mana in the opening turns using efficient ramp like Exploration, Lotus Cobra, and Nature's Lore to cast Ashaya ahead of curve. Once Ashaya is on the battlefield, all nontoken creatures become Forest lands in addition to their other types. This unique land-creature synergy enables infinite mana combos with untappers like Argothian Elder and Ley Weaver, which can target themselves to generate unbounded green mana. The deck swiftly accesses these pieces using creature tutors including Green Sun's Zenith, Chord of Calling, and Finale of Devastation. With infinite mana assembled, the deck finishes the game immediately by casting Finale of Devastation for massive power and haste, or by milling opponents with Altar of Dementia. Secondary plans feature Kodama of the East Tree bounce loops, Cultivator Colossus card draw, and recurring land destruction with Strip Mine.
