Dwarves

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Dwarf-tribal deck led by Thorin, King of Durin's Folk centers on generating a flood of Treasure tokens from dwarf ETBs and historic spells, then converting that mana into overwhelming board presence through Equipment and synergistic dwarf payoffs. The commander not only fuels the Treasure engine but also makes every other dwarf bigger for each artifact token you control, turning a wide board into a lethal combat force. The deck wins primarily through combat damage-either by suiting up a dwarf with powerful Equipment like Embercleave or Sword of Hearth and Home, or by triggering mass damage effects from Dain of the Ancient Halls and Balin, Loremaster. A secondary angle uses Magda, Brazen Outlaw to cheat out high-impact artifacts or the rare Dragon. The overall plan is to ramp aggressively via Treasures, deploy a resilient dwarf army, and close out the game through incremental or burst combat damage.
