Chocobo! by MyneDickLee

Commander: Choco, Seeker of Paradise

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Bant Bird-tribal midrange deck helmed by Choco, Seeker of Paradise. The game plan is to deploy cheap flying Birds, attack in waves, and turn Choco's attack trigger into both card advantage and free land ramp: each attacker lets her dig one card deep, keeping a card and putting any lands found onto the battlefield tapped. That ramp feeds landfall payoffs such as Sazh's Chocobo, Chocobo Racetrack, and Black Chocobo, which grow the swarm. The deck grinds value with Coastal Piracy, Reconnaissance Mission, Kastral, the Windcrested, and Jackdaw Savior, then overwhelms the table with anthem-boosted flyers, huge convoke draws like Harmonized Crescendo, Entreat the Angels, or an evasively-suited commander carrying Whispersilk Cloak and Captain America's Shield. There is no infinite combo; this is a combat-value deck that wins through repeated evasive damage and incremental card and land advantage.
