Mono Green Stompy (Foundations Upgraded) by ImLootGoblin

Format: Commander

Commander: Ghalta, Primal Hunger

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 40

Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck uses Ghalta, Primal Hunger as both an undercosted beatdown threat and an engine amplifier. The core plan accelerates into over-statted low-cost creatures like Topiary Stomper, Surrak, Elusive Hunter, and Hulking Raptor, establishing 10 or more total power by Turn 3. This allows Ghalta, Primal Hunger to enter the battlefield from the command zone on Turn 4 for just two green mana. Once Ghalta is deployed, power-scaling draw engines such as Rishkar's Expertise and Garruk's Uprising refill the hand with fresh threats. The deck converts its massive board presence into lethal combat damage using force multipliers like Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, and Surrak and Goreclaw, closing out the game across two subsequent combat rotations. While vulnerable to mass board wipes and targeted exile before attacks connect, dense mana ramp, redundant beaters, and powerful top-end finishers allow the deck to rebuild quickly and threaten fatal damage without relying on infinite combos.
