Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Pirate aggro-tempo build featuring partner commanders Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Breeches, Brazen Plunderer. The core strategy deploys low-cost, evasive Pirates early to consistently deal combat damage across all three opponents. Malcolm converts this damage into rapid Treasure production, while Breeches exiles playable cards from opponents' libraries to generate compounding card advantage. The deck uses this mana velocity and card flow to deploy threats, cast stolen spells, and maintain aggressive tempo. While the 99 contains an instant-kill two-card combo in Glint-Horn Buccaneer, the absence of creature tutors means the deck primarily wins through accumulated combat damage, unblockable spells, and direct burn from cards like Lightning-Rig Crew. A solid suite of counterspells and redirection spells protects high-value pieces, though the deck remains vulnerable to mass creature sweepers during its multi-turn combat clock.
