landfall storm by user7493394

Format: Commander

Commander: The Wandering Minstrel

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Simic (Green-Blue) landfall value deck helmed by The Wandering Minstrel. Despite the commander's five-color activated ability, the deck runs only GU cards - the commander is effectively a 1/3 with "lands you control enter untapped," which supercharges the bounce-land loops that drive the entire plan. The deck's core strategy is to ramp lands aggressively, trigger landfall payoffs en masse, and close through Craterhoof Behemoth overruns, exponential Scute Swarm copies, or infinite treasure mana from Tireless Provisioner plus a bounce land. Secondary engines include mass land recursion via Aftermath Analyst and Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, and graveyard casting through Walk-In Closet // Forgotten Cellar. The commander's Ballad and activated ability are dead text (no Towns, no WUBRG sources), so the deck is really a goodstuff landfall pile that happens to have a cheap, mildly synergistic commander.
