Deck overview

This deck is a Jund midrange and combo engine centered on -1/-1 counter distribution, creature suppression, and aristocrat drain effects. Led by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, the deck turns self-targeted blight penalties into immediate card draw while punishing opponents whenever counters are placed on their creatures. Early turns focus on establishing mana fixing and low-cost counter engines like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Sinister Gnarlbark. By the midgame, the deck locks down opposing boards through Maha, Its Feathers Night, Kulrath Knight, and recurring sweepers such as Carnifex Demon and Black Sun's Zenith. It closes games decisively either by draining the table through continuous attrition or by assembling the infinite loop between Blowfly Infestation and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons with a drain payoff.
