Deck overview

This is a legendary-tribal partner deck helmed by Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces. The primary game plan is to flood the board with legendary creatures, leveraging Sakashima's ability to copy any legendary creature while sidestepping the legend rule, and letting Yoshimaru grow from each legendary permanent that enters. The deck packs various anthems (Mirror Box, The Circle of Loyalty, Heroes' Podium) and protection (Avacyn's Memorial) to turn a critical mass of legends into overwhelming combat damage. It also includes a handful of counterspells, bounce spells, and a one-sided board wipe in Urza's Ruinous Blast. An extra turn from Karn's Temporal Sundering can deliver a finishing alpha strike. The deck is a value-oriented midrange build that relies on incremental advantage rather than fast combos.
