Deck overview

This deck combines toughness-based combat mechanics with the Initiative and Dungeon exploration in Azorius colors. Commanded by Rasaad yn Bashir alongside the Background Dungeon Delver, the deck turns high-toughness creatures into potent attackers that assign combat damage with their toughness and double their stats on attack. Dungeon Delver doubles room triggers from the Undercity, rapidly generating land ramp, stat counters, direct life drain, and free creature casts. To safeguard the Initiative against opposing attacks, the deck deploys a strong pillowfort package featuring Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Sphere of Safety, and Meekstone. Asymmetric sweepers like The Battle of Bywater and Dusk // Dawn destroy high-power threats while leaving your high-toughness board intact. Evasion pieces like Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive ensure your doubled creatures bypass blockers, methodically closing out the game across several heavy combat steps.
