Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats and reanimator deck uses Witch-king of Angmar as a defensive rattlesnake commander that deters combat damage while providing a free discard outlet. The core strategy revolves around creating expendable creature tokens with Bitterblossom, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, and Ophiomancer, then feeding them into sacrifice outlets like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Ashnod's Altar, and Phyrexian Altar. These engines generate mana, draw cards, and trigger continuous life drain through Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and The Meathook Massacre. The deck can win through sustained attrition and heavy creature control via Grave Pact, or assemble a decisive instant-kill combo using Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Entomb effects and cheap reanimation spells provide high consistency and rapid recovery from board wipes.
