Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is built around Smaug the Impenetrable, leveraging his 8/7 indestructible frame and ability to generate Treasure tokens whenever he is dealt noncombat damage. By utilizing high-damage symmetrical sweepers and self-damage spells like Blasphemous Act, Cut Propulsion, and Star of Extinction, the deck converts a single cast into 13 to 20+ Treasures while wiping the table of opposing creatures. These stockpiled artifacts immediately fuel game-ending win conditions, including alternate upkeep wins via Revel in Riches and Hellkite Tyrant, explosive drain from Mirkwood Bats, Ingenious Artillerist, and Marionette Master, or massive lethal X-spells like Exsanguinate. Dense functional redundancy across damage enablers and artifact payoffs provides resilience, while Pestilence and Pyrohemia offer repeatable table-wide pressure.
