Commander: Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Gruul Morph/Megamorph/Disguise/Manifest deck helmed by Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods. The core strategy is to deploy creatures face down as 2/2s, use Yarus to grant them haste and draw cards on combat damage, then flip them face up for powerful triggered abilities. Yarus's death trigger acts as a built-in recursion engine, returning fallen face-down creatures to the battlefield and immediately flipping them, generating massive repeatable value. The deck wins primarily through overwhelming combat damage from giant morphs like Krosan Cloudscraper and Akroma, Angel of Fury, or by assembling an infinite loop using Yarus, a sacrifice outlet, and a flip payoff such as Pyrotechnic Performer or Ainok Survivalist. Secondary lines include extra combat steps via Scourge of the Throne and mana generation from Neheb, the Eternal.
