Deck overview

This deck is a Boros equipment aggro strategy commanded by Akiri, Fearless Voyager. The game plan focuses on deploying low-cost evasive creatures with flying and shadow on early turns, suiting them up with cheap equipment, and using Akiri to generate steady card draw in combat. Akiri also provides built-in protection by unattaching equipment to grant indestructible. The deck accelerates via combat-triggered Treasure tokens from cards like Beamtown Beatstick and Goldvein Pick rather than traditional ramp. In the midgame, it converts chip damage into lethal bursts using double strike enablers like Flaming Fist and Brass Knuckles alongside massive stat boosts from All That Glitters. Because it lacks infinite combos, tutors, and stax, the deck wins purely through fair combat damage across multiple turns. It relies on instant-speed hexproof and protection spells to shield its attackers from spot removal, though it remains vulnerable to artifact board wipes and mass exile effects.
