Monarch? Nah. by Houzza

Format: Commander

Commander: Garland, Royal Kidnapper

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Garland, Royal Kidnapper is a UB theft-control commander who turns stolen creatures into an evasive, buffed army. The deck's primary plan is to establish permanent theft effects, use goad and monarch triggers to keep opponents fighting each other, and finish through combat with Garland's +2/+2 anthem. Tasha, the Witch Queen serves as a hidden commander by rewarding the suite of cards that cast opponents' spells from exile and graveyards. The deck has no infinite combos and relies on incremental value, recursion, and countermagic to reach a mid-game board state and close out with a wide, unblockable push.
