Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-black Zombie tribal and aristocrats strategy led by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary game plan revolves around deploying early Zombie synergy pieces and recursive creatures, casting Gisa on Turn 5, and tapping her on Turn 6 to convert high-power creatures into a massive swarm of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck amplifies this board using an extensive suite of Zombie lords such as Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Cemetery Reaper, eventually running over the table through combat or finishing opponents with asymmetric life loss from Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Vengeful Dead. Because the deck foregoes fast mana and tutors in favor of tribal density, it operates at a fair, mid-power pace. Its primary strengths lie in redundant tribal buffs and commander-agnostic backup threats like Grave Titan, though it remains vulnerable to sweepers and spot removal due to a lack of protective countermagic or equipment.
