K’rrik Son of yawgmoth ( PM ) by NastyNate

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black life-as-a-resource deck built around K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. K'rrik turns every black pip into 2 life, so the entire game plan is to spend life aggressively to accelerate, draw, and tutor, then convert that same life into table-wide drain. The primary finish is a life-gain/life-loss loop using Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Enduring Tenacity, while Bolas's Citadel plus Aetherflux Reservoir provides a storm-style alternative. A dense reanimation package - Animate Dead, Reanimate, Victimize, Living Death - cheats out high-end demons like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Kokusho, the Evening Star, and Razaketh, the Foulblooded, whose drain, sacrifice, and tutor effects double as both value and finishers. Equipment such as Lightning Greaves and Mithril Coat protects the commander, while X-spells like Exsanguinate and Torment of Hailfire back up the life-loss plan.
