crippling landfall addiction by drx879

Format: Commander

Commander: The Gitrog Monster

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Gitrog Monster commands a dedicated Golgari lands and graveyard engine that converts land drops and sacrifice triggers into massive card advantage and lethal landfall payoffs. The deck aims to ramp rapidly, establish self-mill engines, and assemble powerful land-recursion loops. Its primary win condition revolves around cycling lands through the graveyard using cards like Dakmor Salvage, Splendid Reclamation, and Aftermath Analyst to trigger lethal damage from Ob Nixilis, the Fallen and Iridescent Vinelasher. Alternatively, it overwhelms the table with massive token swarms generated by Scute Swarm and Avenger of Zendikar or pump effects from Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest.
