Forest Zoids by user9998767

Format: Commander

Commander: Ghave, Guru of Spores

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ghave, Guru of Spores is a midrange Abzan token/counter engine. The primary plan is to ramp into Ghave, multiply Saprolings with Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, and Anointed Procession, then convert them into +1/+1 counters for a huge commander or overwhelm with a Saproling army. Secondary paths include an equipment subtheme (Skullclamp for draw, Sword of Feast and Famine for untapping mana, Shadowspear for trample) and Calix, Destiny's Hand as enchantment support. There is no hidden commander. The deck has no infinite combo, so wins come from a critical mass of tokens plus Return of the Wildspeaker or commander damage. It is a board-centric, creature-heavy plan with modest stack interaction.
