Deck overview

This is a blue-white Bird tribal tempo deck built around Kastral, the Windcrested, turning evasive combat damage into card draw, +1/+1 counters, or recursion from the graveyard. The deck floods the board with cheap Birds and token spells, then uses anthem effects like Empyrean Eagle, Kangee, Sky Warden, Steel-Plume Marshal, and Murmuration to make the flock lethal. Kastral is the value engine: after the first profitable swing, every attack refuels the hand, grows the board, or rebuys a key Bird from the graveyard. There are no infinite combos; the primary route to victory is sustained flying combat pressure, with Approach of the Second Sun as a slow alternate win condition. The deck plays a midrange game, protecting its commander with instant-speed tricks and a modest counter suite while trying to out-scale opponents in the air.
