Deck overview

This Edgar Markov deck executes an aggressive Mardu Vampire tribal and Aristocrats strategy. Edgar's eminence ability provides immediate, uncounterable value from Turn 1, creating a 1/1 Vampire token whenever any Vampire spell is cast. The deck leverages an exceptionally low mana curve to rapidly flood the battlefield with cheap Vampires like Knight of the Ebon Legion, Vampire Cutthroat, and Cordial Vampire. These aggressive creatures are quickly amplified by tribal lords such as Stromkirk Captain, Legion Lieutenant, and Bloodline Keeper, or converted into devastating life drain through aristocrat engines including Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Ashnod's Altar. Mana ramp from Dark Ritual, Sol Ring, and Master of Dark Rites accelerates deployment, while tutors like Demonic Tutor and Diabolic Intent secure key finishers. The deck presents a formidable combat clock by Turn 5 and closes games around Turn 7 through overwhelming combat pressure and lethal sacrifice loops, protected by Teferi's Protection.
