Deck overview

This Jeskai deck commands Vadrok, Apex of Thunder to establish an explosive mutate and spellslinger engine. Early turns prioritize developing mana rocks like Arcane Signet and landing cheap non-Human mutate hosts such as Pollywog Symbiote and Stormchaser Drake. Once Vadrok mutates onto a host, it immediately casts noncreature spells with mana value three or less directly from the graveyard for free. Recurring card draw like See the Truth and Ancestral Vision refills the hand, while Frantic Search and Jeska's Will supply mana velocity. Synergistic payoffs including Jeskai Ascendancy, The Lost and the Damned, and Quintorius, History Chaser transform these free casts into large armies of buffed creature tokens. The deck finishes games around Turn 8 through wide combat swings and evasive flyers. While stacking creatures onto single mutate hosts carries inherent removal exposure, Vadrok's ability to reuse cheap interaction like Snap keeps opposing threats firmly under control.
