Deck overview

This is a Grixis midrange crime-control deck helmed by Marchesa, Dealer of Death. The plan weaponizes the crime mechanic-any spell or ability that targets an opponent, their permanents, or their graveyard-to fuel Marchesa's dig, refill the hand, and stock the graveyard. Primary wins are classic Niv-Mizzet loops (Niv-Mizzet, Parun or Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind paired with Curiosity or Tandem Lookout) and a compact aristocrats line with Forsaken Miner, Goblin Bombardment, and Pitiless Plunderer. Instant-speed interaction doubles as crime fuel, while reanimation (Buried Alive, Dread Return, Victimize) and recursion engines (Kess, Dissident Mage, Past in Flames, Cormela, Glamour Thief) assemble or rebuild the combo. The deck plays draw-go control until it finds a two-card kill, using Marchesa as a repeatable advantage engine rather than a win piece herself.
