Deck overview

This mono-green Gargos deck is a Hydra and +1/+1 counter tribal combat deck. Gargos reduces Hydra costs by four and provides targeted removal by fighting when your creatures are targeted. The primary plan is to ramp, land Gargos, then flood the board with X Hydras like Genesis Hydra, Voracious Hydra and Goldvein Hydra while stacking counter doublers such as Doubling Season, Branching Evolution and Vorinclex. Counters grow exponentially via Kalonian Hydra, Forgotten Ancient and Court of Garenbrig, then you close with Overwhelming Stampede or Triumph of the Hordes for infect. Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider acts as a hidden commander, doubling all counters you place.
