Deck overview

This is a white-black Equipment Voltron deck helmed by Squall, SeeD Mercenary. The core plan is to suit up Squall - or the hidden-commander Cloud, Midgar Mercenary - with the Sword cycle and attack alone, converting Squall's "Rough Divide" trigger into double strike while his combat-damage trigger recurs permanents with mana value 3 or less from the graveyard. Cloud, Midgar Mercenary doubles Equipment triggers, turning each Sword connect into a doubled value engine. The deck leans on a dense tutor package (Vampiric Tutor, Enlightened Tutor, Stoneforge Mystic) and an unusually deep protection suite (hexproof, indestructible, protection-from-color effects) to keep its carrier alive. It wins primarily through commander damage, accelerated by Buster Sword and Excalibur, Sword of Eden, with the Swords providing card advantage, mana, and recursion along the way.
