Deck overview

This deck is a Bant creature-engine strategy helmed by Chulane, Teller of Tales. Its primary game plan uses low-cost mana dorks and ramp spells to deploy Chulane on Turn 4. Once Chulane is active, self-bouncing utility creatures like Whitemane Lion, Fleetfoot Panther, and Stonecloaker trigger Chulane repeatedly, drawing multiple cards and placing bonus lands onto the battlefield each turn cycle. The deck converts this immense resource velocity into a lethal board state on Turn 6 through mass landfall and token payoffs, notably Avenger of Zendikar, Scute Swarm, Rampaging Baloths, and Cathars' Crusade. While the deck generates massive card and mana advantage and controls noncreature permanents effectively with Aura Shards, it lacks countermagic on the stack and haste enablers, meaning its token armies require two full combat cycles to eliminate the table on Turn 8.
