Deck overview

This deck solves the iconic challenge of Phage the Untouchable in the command zone. Casting Phage directly causes her controller to lose the game unless specific enablers intervene. The deck circumvents this restriction through hand-placement tools like Command Beacon, Campfire, and Netherborn Altar, or trigger-prevention permanents like Torpor Orb and Sundial of the Infinite. A heavy mono-black mana engine featuring Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Nirkana Revenant powers out Phage ahead of curve. Once Phage resolves safely, equipment such as Whispersilk Cloak, Lightning Greaves, and Brotherhood Regalia grant unblockability and protection, allowing Phage to eliminate one opponent per turn with her lethal combat trigger. If Phage is answered or locked down, the deck smoothly pivots into high-mana control finishers, draining life with Exsanguinate, exploiting Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or stealing graveyards with Breach the Multiverse.
