Deck overview

This deck is a five-color midrange spellslinger strategy built around Codie, Ravenous Codex and creatures featuring the Prepare mechanic. By deploying low-cost prepare creatures, the deck leverages Codie's ability to copy every prepared spell cast, doubling the value of token generation, card draw, removal, and combat tricks. The game plan transitions into the midgame by assembling a wide board of creatures and tokens, then dropping anthems like Titania, Proud Pummeler or Magmablood Archaic to attack across all opponents with amplified power and Melee triggers. While the deck generates impressive card flow and board presence when its commander is active, it remains vulnerable to board wipes and lacks stack interaction to contest faster combo decks.
