Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black control strategy that blends resource theft with big-mana acceleration. Commanded by Gonti, Lord of Luxury, the deck focuses on early ramp, continuous card advantage through ETB re-triggers, and disciplined board suppression. By leveraging mono-black staples such as Cabal Coffers, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Crypt Ghast, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, the deck produces immense mana reserves. It uses interactive sweepers like Toxic Deluge and Damnation to stabilize the board against aggressive opponents, while cards like Crawlspace and No Mercy deter incoming attacks. Once big mana is online, the deck transitions into lethal burst finishers, including Exsanguinate, multi-target drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel doubled with Saw in Half, or massive library exiles via Outrageous Robbery and Doomsday Excruciator. Its high density of creature protection and recursion ensures sustained pressure through long games.
