Deck overview

This Abzan deck is an aggressive lifegain and reanimator engine commanded by Betor, Ancestor's Voice. The strategy uses low-cost mana dorks and efficient ramp to establish an early mana base, then rapidly bins high-impact creature bombs like Razaketh, the Foulblooded and Vilis, Broker of Blood through tutors such as Entomb and Buried Alive. It leverages cheap reanimation spells and Betor's end-step trigger to return threats while weaponizing life totals. Life loss from painlands, black tutors, and outlets like Unspeakable Symbol is converted into massive life bursts via Children of Korlis, which Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Enduring Tenacity direct into opponents' life totals. A compact, efficient interaction suite featuring free spells like Force of Vigor, Deadly Rollick, and Snuff Out controls opposing boards, while Grand Abolisher and Silence shield critical execution windows.
