Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir dragon tribal control deck led by Silumgar, the Drifting Death. The strategy focuses on deploying cheap changelings and mana rocks during the early turns, resolving Silumgar on Turn 5, and attacking with multiple dragons on Turn 6. Each attacking dragon triggers Silumgar to give defending creatures -1/-1 until end of turn. Combined with shrink spells like Sudden Spoiling, Flatline, and Polymorphist's Jest, this ability repeatedly sweeps opposing boards. The deck protects its position using Silumgar's native hexproof, ward keywords on secondary dragons, and a sturdy counterspell suite. High-impact flyers such as Steel Hellkite, Hoarding Broodlord, and Iymrith, Desert Doom apply steady evasive pressure to finish the game across three combat cycles by Turn 9. While vulnerable to fast combos and non-targeted board wipes, the deck excels at suppressing creature-based strategies.
