This deck is a five-color Spellslinger Burn archetype centered around Codie, Ravenous Codex and the 'prepare' creature mechanic. The primary strategy deploys low-cost prepare creatures—such as Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song, Goblin Glasswright // Craft with Pride, and Studious First-Year // Rampant Growth—alongside static burn engines like Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, and Electrostatic Field. Once Codie, Ravenous Codex is in play, casting prepared spells triggers Codie to copy them, doubling mana rituals, card draw, and removal while triggering a barrage of burn triggers. In the mid-game, big-mana engines like Storm-Kiln Artist, Jegantha, the Wellspring, or Faeburrow Elder fuel Codie's team-wide prepare activation or power out explosive multipliers like Thousand-Year Storm and Prismari, the Inspiration. The deck closes games around Turn 8 by chaining multiple copied spells in a single turn cycle, burning through all three opponents' life totals simultaneously without needing infinite loops.
