Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive Voltron attrition strategy using Sarevok, Deathbringer paired with Cultist of the Absolute. Cultist supercharges Sarevok into a 6/7 flying threat with deathtouch and ward while mandating a creature sacrifice on your upkeep. This mandatory sacrifice guarantees that a permanent leaves the battlefield on your turn, preventing Sarevok's end-step damage from targeting you. Meanwhile, opponents who fail to remove permanents on their turns take 6 damage per cycle. The supporting 99 provides cheap recursive creatures and token generators to feed Cultist's upkeep trigger, supplemented by living weapon equipment and black creature removal. Because the deck lacks fast mana, countermagic, and sweepers, it operates at a deliberate pace, relying on combat connections and passive life loss to wear down opponents.
