Deck overview

This is a Jund "excess damage" deck built around Maarika, Brutal Gladiator. The core plan is to deploy big trampling creatures, then use a deep suite of fight and direct-damage spells to deal excess damage to opposing creatures, triggering Maarka's ability to force opponents to sacrifice their noncreature, nonland permanents - systematically stripping artifacts, enchantments, and planeswalkers off the table. The deck also wins through pure combat, pumping Maarka or Ghalta, Primal Hunger with power-doubling effects (Unnatural Growth, Berserk, Mr. Orfeo, the Boulder) and double strike (Blood Mist, Temur Battle Rage, Hard-Won Jitte). A unique finisher pairs Pain for All with Maarka's on-your-turn indestructibility to reflect damage to every opponent at once.
